Software Tester required at EveryBuddy Ltd
Our focus is to provide software to schools and similar organisations to manage their outgoing communications, day-to-day extra curricular operations, payments and help them consolidate systems. We need a full time tester to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills at both a technical and non-technical level as you will be;
- Working with software developers to explain and work together to investigate issues
- Working with the business to help define and flesh out work items and bug reports * Execute existing manual test scripts
- Writing brand new test scripts to secure testing process for new and existing features, going forward
- Perform full regression tests across the system for new releases
- Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
- Test on different platforms including Web, Android and IOS
- Feedback to the business testing results with bug reports (We currently use Jira)
- Troubleshoot and problem solve- being able to reproduce issues on the test systems for the development team to resolve
- Participate in Agile activities such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings
- Using Microsoft SQL Server, writing queries to check data produced by the system to support tests
Essential
- ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or some other kind of formalised software testing qualification
- Basic SQL Server knowledge – able to write simple queries
- Working knowledge of web browser dev tools
Desirable
- Automated testing experience or an interest in progressing into automated testing
- Experience working with:
- Jira
- GitHub * Experience working within an Agile environment

Salary: £30,000.00 - £40,000.00 /year
