As 2022 begins, we just wanted to take a moment to take stock of what a busy and productive twelve months SchoolsBuddy has had with new updates, improvements, and events. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and for your continued collaboration and feedback, which drives everything we do at SchoolsBuddy.

2021 saw a number of improvements to our existing platform, including:

IPhone X

Mobile App (with SSO)

Our brand new app is an integrated portal for activities, bookings, sports, billing, transport, and portal links, for parents, staff and students to use on the move. Click here for more information

40. Accounts Portal

Portal Links (& Parent Portal Enhancements)

Schools can now provide instant and quick links to important documents or web pages for parents to access, as well as other users by setting the required visibility. Click here for more information.

6. Transport System 1 1

Transport Improvements

Multiple timetables can be created to cover different date ranges and attendance registers show transport stop addresses for each student as well as if permission to walk has been granted by the parent.
11. Customisable Checklists

UI Updates

Easier login options for new parents have been made available, PowerSchool SSO has been added, and super admins can now turn common SSO options on or off.
79. Parent and Agent

Staff / Parent Switcher

Staff who are also parents can now use the same account and email login, but are able to switch between modes. This is also available on the new app.

We introduced

A new look to sending communications with the added ability to send to individuals and subject classes (as well as groups, year/grade levels, or the whole school).

Attachments can now be delivered via email but with a setting to only allow access if the user is logged in. This can ensure the privacy of attachments.

And finally, when creating communications the HTML editor has been updated to allow image uploads. This is also available when you create portal links and welcome messages.
